Haute Couture week for 2021 was mostly digital with a few exceptions, Vaishalia Studios is the first Indian House to be invited to Haute Couture Week in Paris, making history. Vaishalis Studio is designed by Vaishali Shadangule and is a recognized name in the India Fashion scene, but it was a struggle for the designer this past year while dealing with Covid-19, which is what inspired her to dedicate this collection named "Breath".
Vaishali explained the name of the collection "Breath" which inspires to appreciate and slow down, not everything has to be a "run to" especially after this past year in a pandemic
The dresses are made in India with Indian hand woven fabrics and techniques, but not only embroideries, Vaishali S is determined to show the world there are many other styles of design not only embroidery coming from India, so she uses woven fabrics and texture styles which create root like forms but with such soft and flowy fabrics, the Haute couture feels comfortable, Amazing!
The colours hues were strong including white, Gold, Purple, Hunter green, red and black, stand out colours with matching comfortable shoes decorated with delightful charms of fabrics hanging from them, suitable for a haute couture dress as these. I think India thanks to Vaishalis is comfortably "in" for Haute Couture!
