Experience Aje 2024: Resort 24 'Element' Runway Show at the Stunning Australia Resort

Hey there! So, I was at this awesome show by Aje called Resort 24 'Element'.

It was all about capturing the essence of their brand and how they've evolved over the past 15 years.

The founders, Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris, decided to go back to the core elements that define Aje.

They wanted to show off the raw beauty, femininity with an edge, and the interesting contrasts that make their designs unique.

They were so generous that they let all their local fans come in for free at the new Sydney Modern Project gallery. The place looked amazing with art pieces by Sol Le Witt, Frank Stella, and Ugo Rondinone.

This show was extra special because it marked Aje's 15-year anniversary, and there's a rumor going around that it might be their last show in Sydney for a while. Some say they're planning to take their talent to New York in September.

Honestly, I think this collection could really make a splash in the States. It had that distinct Australian vibe but with a touch of something that could be appreciated globally. I loved how they paired singlet tops with ruffled skirts or sparkly sequined pants. It was a cool mix of dressed-up and casual, capturing what Norris called "undone elegance." It's that vibe that makes Aje and other interesting labels in this city stand out during fashion week.

They also showcased some gorgeous patterns, like delicate floral embroidery and smudged-oil floral prints on silk. Towards the end, they brought in an earthy olive and wood-toned theme, along with some striking lime and magenta sequin outfits. And guess what? That significant opening singlet made a comeback in one of the looks. It was a fantastic way to say goodbye to Sydney if they're really heading to New York.
